i am back from africa (/london/edinburgh/berlin)!! this will be a post about my trip, kind of, because i get bored of my own stories quite easily.
basically i think i will just post some pictures.
I MISSED YOU ALL and it's super good to be back in america because i also missed ice and gay people and good coffee and fanfiction and toilet paper and hot showers and clean clothes. and mattresses.
JUST WAITIN' FER THE HOGWARTS EXPRESS.
finding the london sanctuary was the happiest accident of the whole trip. james is even gayer in real life just so y'all know.
e d i n b u r r r r g h. view from the storytelling center on high street, which is exactly where i want to work PLEASE GIVE ME A JOB.
holyrood where kelly and i sat and i dissertationed about helen/will for a good hour...
BERLIN which is a great place. THEY'RE BOTH IN GERMANY, WILL.
ah here we have our first picture of africa: ZANZIBARRRR. where the water is so clear it's like looking through glass. /sad laura roslin
old slave market in stonetown. they converted it into a church, which i find both ironic and deeply moving.
SPICE PLANTATION! SPICE UP YOUR LIFE! (la la la la la la la la la, la la la la la la laaaaa)
this is the most amazing fruit i've ever eaten
bridal veil falls in zimbabweeeee
great zimbabwe ruins!
G R Y F F I N D O R
victoria falls in zimbabwe, one of my favorite places on the trip
chobe river in botswana! and a buffalo.
f;laksjdfl;kasdjf okavango delta f;alskdjfals;d. my favorite. FAVORITE.
game viewing in etosha national park, namibia!
SPOT THE ELEPHANT
tame cheetahs at cheetah park! the farmer who owns this place takes in cheetahs because they're considered pests to local farmers. these guys are just big cats. they purr (REALLY LOUDLY) and give you sandpapery kisses.
this is hanna, one of the girls on the trip, and some adorable himba kids.
ladies of the himba tribe of southern namibia and their crazyawesome farscape hair. they paint themselves with red ocher and they look GORGEOUS, like they're photoshopped. also, they bathe in smoke instead of water. also also, the women are kind of sad because their tribe is extremely sexist. but what else is new, i guess.
bushman paintings in namibia. this is the famous 'white lady' who is neither white nor a lady, funnily enough...
SPITZKOPPE! these rock formations are out of this world.
we made it to the other coast of africa!
fish river canyon. WINDY.
beautiful table mountain and our hostel in cape town, south africa.
welp that's as many pictures as i can bother putting up right now. it was two and a half months of incredible. i wish i had some pictures of the stars, though! some of my favorite nights were spent tracing scorpio and the southern cross whilst drinking amarula hot chocolates. OH WELL. this trip was just an utter blessing.
NOW I NEED TO FIND A REAL JOB AND "BE AN ADULT", LOL
L O L
whatever i am going to go find some candy and look at more pictures of amanda tapping. also guess what guys it's FALLTIME AND DO YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS? DO YOU? it means i'm really, really, really happy. :D THE END.
